I just purchased the dwa a few weeks ago, and couldn't for the life of me figure out why my audio laptopvideo2go atheros of a sudden started cutting out on me all the time. I have downloaded the most up to date laptopvideo2go atheros that i could find on the website.

I even tried calling laptopvideo2go atheros support I shouldn't have wasted my time. This DPC spike is causing my audio to distort and cut out.

Priority extents:1 acrossk [ Ah, the error message you receive when you try to modprobe ath9k explains a lot. Do you still get that message if you reboot the computer, then type again: sudo modprobe ath9k Usually this 'invalid laptopvideo2go atheros format' laptopvideo2go atheros clears up after a reboot. I decided to re-install Ubuntu and below shows all the new outputs.

If you wish me to go back to the last state, I can just install the jaunty package. Yes, please now install the backports package and make sure your system laptopvideo2go atheros up-to-date by typing: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-jaunty Then reboot.

If it still doesn't work, please post: laptopvideo2go atheros grep ath sudo modprobe laptopvideo2go atheros dmesg grep -e ath -e wlan uname -r. I've installed the januty package I think last time I installed the wrong one, didn't use backports?

Anyway, still no luck - but laptopvideo2go atheros hasn't disappeared off the iwlist scan, which is a good sign I guess. Thanks for the information.

I guess the linux-backports-modules-jaunty package didn't help you like it did the others in this thread. If you have laptopvideo2go atheros, try disabling that and see if it helps. If not, please post the output of: locate wlan grep sys and hopefully we can find the right command to run to force the wireless to turn on, like the others in that bug report.

It might also help to know the make laptopvideo2go atheros model of your computer. Just noticed that in "User Settings" that "Connect to Ethernet and Wireless Networks" is unticked, but I cannot tick it the whole area is grayed out.

Could this possibly have anything to do with laptopvideo2go atheros I'm currently connected to ethernet network, so I doubt it? But thought it may be worth raising? Thanks for all that information.

Upgrade from Atheros to Intel does not work...

In your case, I'm not sure what else to try, but it wouldn't hurt to recompile the compat-wireless package. Think I've attempted using the compat package I really appreciate your laptopvideo2go atheros pytheas22 :.

Those errors aren't too serious. Laptopvideo2go atheros you just reboot, the new modules should be loaded. After a reboot, does "sudo iwlist scan" return anything" is causing windows 7 to freeze - Super User

  • Sadly no luck, still no results shown although laptopvideo2go atheros still finds wlan in the search I was thinking, if on other arx cards are solved by the jaunty package - and the ones weren't had a conflict with bluetooth, then could it be fair to assume that something that that comes with my Toshiba laptop is interfering with the wlan? Not sure what - but most likely something networking related, perhaps the built in modem? Sadly I'm new to Linux, as you can tell, so not sure if this is likely or not.?Atheros USB drivers for XP, Vista and Windows 7.
